Several years ago, Heston Blumenthal asked us if we’d try and smoke some water to add flavour to one of the dishes on his menu at The Fat Duck. After much debate, we gave it a go and after extensive trials (and errors) the result has been a runaway success.
Smoked Water is:
- 100% clean label, with none of the chemicals associated with the better-known acrid Liquid Smoke
- incredibly versatile. We sell it to everyone from cocktail makers to BBQ houses, professional bakers to ready meal manufacturers, blue chip companies to kitchen table enterprises

SMOKED SEA SALT
The reason we built our own smoker originally was to smoke our own hand-harvested Pure Sea Salt.
We sell this beautiful golden finishing salt all over the world. It brings a real bonfire flavour to anything you choose to put it on, from buttery caramels to new potatoes, scrambled eggs to hand-dived scallops. We sell to nut roasters, flavour houses, chip makers, bread bakers and plenty more.

Our most recent experiment has turned into a product adored by pastry chefs in restaurants across the country (and indeed, pond.) Use it to bring a real edge to desserts, or an added depth to meats. We are happy to discuss individual requirements – and can smoke a sugar over your choice of wood.
WOOD CHIPS FOR SMOKING
Lots of people asked if they could buy the chips that we smoke our products over. Our signature chip is oak, and we also sell hickory. All our chips for smoking come from sustainable sources.
